BREADHUNTER — GAME OVER !
Dear partners, clients and candidates,
after 13 years as an entrepreneur and 26 years in headhunting, I decided to take a new path within the next 2 month(if no other new projects will show up), so I want to thank you for the great collaboration over the years and we will keep in touch as well, because my website will be still present as a blog and you have my email address or phone number.
I see the headhunting and recruiting market challenging for the coming years as a one-man-show and also a recruiting company.
In-house recruiting is booming and prices are like on a BAZAR in Khan el-Khalili (خان الخليلي). At BREADHUNTER Group we have had fees between 17 and 35 k € per project over the last 8 years, but it took also 70% of our time doing sales, instead of executing projects and searching for candidates, which I like more.
At the moment I see many headhunters dying in Europe,(even in Vienna) reducing their people or price dumping around. If you are in Austria too, you know which companies I mean…
It’s a new turning point for our industry, even we have all the AI tools, smart workflows and experience, sometimes better than at big corporates with their generic strategies, but companies tend now more to do recruiting by themselves, what makes also more sense in terms of costs.
It’s funny, that I have worked 26 years successfully in headhunting, even I thought from the beginning, that the job is boring and a bit like gambling around, but the money was good and I know how to find people for my clients by my DNA, so I choose this path.
After I have shut down BREADHUNTER the next weeks I will let you know, whats going on.
And now, whats next?
- Now I am in talks with some companies and partners to check or develop a future collaboration, but you can be sure, that…
- I will NOT working for another headhunting company, because why should I shutdown BREADHUNTER to onboard for the same sh..t somewhere else? 😂
- Maybe some last minute clients show up and we work together on 5 projects that BREADHUNTER is safe. If not it’s time to say goodbye in June I think.
- My network in 35 countries will be active and I will keep in touch with all partners as an advisory board member, because I am Tom Hagen, you know? — the consigliere and maybe future companies or clients will need my network too. 🤓
- I am a big fan of the BRICS States and would like to increase my collaboration there. Any idea how?
- Maybe I will change to the dark-side, where is chocolate as a team lead, master of disaster, detective or InHouse Headhunter of a global company, because I like to work with international teams, still love recruiting and projects.
- Maybe I will travel around the globe visiting clients and strengthen relationships for a company, especially in Asia and India with my intercultural knowledge.
- Maybe I will do something totally different like working in the Vatikan Apostolic Archives as my father and Robert Langdon did or maybe for the secret service as Jack Ryan, but in this case I won’t tell you. 😜
- Maybe I play my middle east card and work there. I have studied Middle Eastern Science and learned Arabic and Farsi, but then I became just a headhunter? I think I would have been a better diplomat than Mrs Baerbock for example in Germany, lol. Especially in China and Middle East!
- Maybe something else will come I do not think about yet, but you will…
- But you can be sure, that I will still be the pain in your back here on #LinkedIn 😆 for difficult topics.
